Shirley Camille Taylor, 95 of Princeton died on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018 at Gibson General Hospital.
Born in Pleasant Hill, Illinois on March 12, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Ross and Kathryn (Greenman) Nicholas.
Shirley is also preceded in death by her husband, William Wyatt Taylor, son, William Nicholas Taylor and sister Dixie Lee Lewis.
She is survived by her son Dana, daughter-in-law Jennifer and granddaughter Kathryn Taylor.
Shirley is also survived by a host of friends, bridge buddies and traveling companions including Janie Cloin, Sandra Kolb, Joyce Larsen, Susan Partenheimer, Dorothy Stichweh and Marilyn Williams.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the care and attention shown to Shirley by Carrie Richeson, Tom Roney, Mark Williams and Dr. Bruce Brink, Jr.
A soirée in celebration of her life will be held from 2:00pm-4:00pm on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018 at the Princeton Elks Club (302 N. Hart Street). All friends are invited. (Shirley thought a party sounded like a great idea and is sorry she will miss it.) Her inurnment will be held in the Spring when the honeysuckle is in bloom. (Note: Her husband is buried at Decker (Chapel) Cemetery.
