Lawrence P. “Bud” Houchins, 85 of Oakland City entered rest on Wednesday Jan.
10, 2018 at The Waters of Princeton.
He was born on August
13,1932 in Princeton to Paul and Myrtle (Golden) Houchins.
Bud served in the United
States Army during Vietnam War. He was employed for 29 years at Whirlpool Corporation
in Evansville, Also, attended Full Gospel Church.
He was preceded in death by
his parents, brother John Houchins, sisters Becky Lemmons, Mary Ann Roberson.
He is survived by wife
Mary (Thompson)Houchins. Sons, Alford (Judy) of
Ocala, FL, Glenn (Stephanie) Houchins of Shoals, IN,
John Houchins of Oakland City, daughters, Cynthia
(David) Hayden, Alice (Fernando) Guzman- Diaz and Charlene(Kent) Heldt of Princeton, IN and Marlene Biel of Oakland City,
IN. Sister Barbara Houchin of Oakland City, IN, 24
grandchildren, 73 great grandchildren and 1 great great
grandchild.
Services will be 1:00 P.M on Sunday Jan. 14,2018 at the Lamb-Basham Memorial
Chapel with burial in Montgomery Cemetery. Rev. Darin D. Nossett
will be officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 PM Saturday and
from 10:00 A.M. until services on Sunday.
