Ralph B. DeBord, 86, of Princeton, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton.
He was born on January 13, 1932 in Francisco, IN to Fred and Veda (Goodson) DeBord.
Ralph was the owner/operator, since 1966, of the DeBord Greenhouse with his wife and 2 sons. He served in the US Army during the Korean War serving in Europe. He was a life member of the former VFW Post #1147. He had previously worked for Potter & Brumfield and Mid-States Rubber.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Sylvia “Tibby” DeBord of Princeton; son, Larry DeBord of Princeton; daughter-in-law, Monica DeBord of Hazelton; 4 grandchildren, Kyle DeBord (Heather) of Princeton, Lindsey Walden (Stephen) of Princeton, Nathan DeBord (Vanessa) of Owensville and Leah DeBord (Calvin King) of Hazleton; 4 great grandchildren; sister, Wanda Kramer of Ft. Branch; brother-in-law, Gilbert Memmer of Evansville; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark DeBord on January 2, 2018; 1 great grandson; 2 sisters, Frances Reed and Charlotte Memmer; and 1 brother, Raymond DeBord.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, January 22, 2018 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Pastor Brad Keenan. Burial will follow at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday at Colvin Funeral Home. Military graveside service by Retired Military Veterans.
