Edna L. Hinton, age 91, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, IN. 

She was born in Haubstadt on February 9, 1926, to the late Alois and Henrietta (Ziliak) Knapp. She resided in Haubstadt her entire life. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. 

Preceding her in death were her husband, Joseph in 2006 and a daughter, Brenda in 1970 as well as 3 sisters; Eileen Wiseman, Valada Wade and Eljean Lillpop and 1 Brother, Marvin Knapp.

She is survived by one daughter, Becky (Stan) Emge of Haubstadt; three sons, Randy (Sharon) Hinton and Ron (Yvonne) Hinton all of Louisville, KY and Roger (Patty) Hinton of Rochester Hills, MI; 6 grandchildren, Chase Emge, Brooke and Lauren Hinton, Brandon and Jeremy Hall, and Lauren Saxton; and 5 great-grandchildren, Emmalyn Emge, Jackson and Lexie Hall, Sawyer Hall, and Liam Saxton.

Also surviving are 3 sisters; Alice Riffert and Irma Hebbeler both of Evansville and Joyce Snowbarger of San Jose, California; and one brother, James Knapp of Evansville. 

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 pm on Wednesday, December 6, at Wade Funeral Home with a Rosary service beginning at 2:30 pm. Visitation will also be from 10:00 am until Mass time on Thursday at the church.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 7 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholilc Church, with Rev. Tony Ernst officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
