Olive I. Strickland 92, of Oakland City entered rest on Tuesday Nov. 28, 2017 at Good 
Samaritan Home in Oakland City.

She was born on March 17,1925 in Petersburg to Hamilton and Rebecca (Sumner) Willis.

Olive was preceded in death by her parents, Sister Thelma L. Willis.

Olive was a 70 year member of Oakland City Church of The Nazarene where she
Taught Sunday School. Many years ago, she worked at Republic Aviation in Evansville
and also worked at the Good Samaritan Home in Oakland City for 17 years. 

She is survived by daughters Nancy (Tom) Alvey and Carol (Tony) McDowell both
Of Oakland City. Grandchildren, Lori(Brad) Elaman, Stacy Holmes and Clint McDowell.
Great Grandchildren, Travis (Kayla) Fleisher, Tyler Fleisher, Kolbi King, Caleb and
Jacob Elaman. Great Great Grandson, Brodie Fleisher.

Services will be 11:00 AM Friday December 1,2017 at the Oakland City Church of The Nazarene with Rev. Darin Nossett and Rev. Jonathan Scott officiating. Burial will be in Montgomery
Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel and
from 9:00 A.M. Friday until services at the church.
