Mary L. (Fuhs) Reinhart, 93, of Princeton, IN, passed away at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton, IN on Sunday, November 5, 2017.
She was born to the late Andrew and Cecilia (Brahm) Fuhs in Snake Run, IN, on September 1, 1924.
Mary was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, VFW Women’s Auxiliary, and St. Bernadette Women’s Auxiliary. During World War II she was employed by Republic Aviation in Evansville, IN making parts for the P-47 Thunderbolt. She then worked a short time at Emge Meat Packing in Fort Branch, IN before marrying her husband Ed whom she was married to for 56 years.
A beloved wife, cherished mother and adoring grandmother and great grandmother, her greatest pleasure was being surrounded by her loving family. She expressed her love of nature in growing flowers, especially cannas, which were admired by many who drove by her home. She enjoyed quilting with the Holy Cross Quilters and created many beautiful heirlooms for her family. She enjoyed bowling and is listed in the Bowling Hall of Fame. Mary and her husband Ed also attended the Senior Olympic Games in Evansville, IN at the state level, where they competed in washers, bowling, and cards. She enjoyed playing bingo with her friends at the VFW and playing clabber for many years with her family and friends.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Edward W. Reinhart, son Edward J. Reinhart, twin grandchildren Amber and Ashley, 3 brothers, and 3 sisters.
Mary is survived by her children; Michael (Jana) Reinhart of Lafayette, IN, Sam Reinhart of Princeton, IN, Elaine Couch of Fort Branch, IN, Susie (Charlie) Powers of Princeton, IN, and Gloria (Derek Barton) Reinhart of Fort Branch, IN, a daughter-in-law; Patricia Reinhart of Fort Branch, IN, 11 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Fort Branch, IN with Fathers Tony Ernst and Ambrose Wanyonyi as co-celebrants. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, IN and again at Holy Cross Catholic Church on Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 10:00 AM to service time. Rosary services will be on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 2:30 PM at Stodghill Funeral Home. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery following mass.
