David L. Lloyd, 71 of Princeton, passed away Friday, Nov. 10, 2017 at his home.
He was born in Gibson County July 5, 1946, to Charles F. and Juanita (Landrus) Lloyd.
David was a mechanic for 25 years with United Parcel Service and then became superintendent of Patoka Water where he worked for 10 years. He was veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War. He attended Patoka United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, York Rite and the Eastern Star in Princeton and Patoka where he served as Worthy Patron. He was a member of the V.F.W. and served as a Past Commander.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Lloyd of Princeton; 2 daughters, Stephanie Berry (Mark) of Patoka and Carla Hary (Robert) of Chandler; 4 grandchildren, Allison Adcock (Joe), Patrick Berry, Keller Hary and Addie Johnson; 1 great grandchild “his pride and joy” Paisley Jo Adcock; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Elza and Charles Lloyd; sister, Juanita Marvel and an infant sister.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Rev. Jarmon Perkins and Pastor Jeff Pinney officiating. Burial will follow in the Columbia “White” Church Cemetery near Princeton. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Colvin Funeral Home. There will be a military graveside service by the Retired Military Veterans.
