Dennis R. Hill, 81, of Oakland City, passed away Friday,
November 17, 2017 at Good Samaritan Home in Oakland City.
He was born September 26, 1936 in Greenville, KY to Raymond and Elgie (McClellan) Hill.
He retired from Whirlpool in 2000 after 30+ years. He attended
Forsythe Church. He loved to hunt, fish and golf. He was an avid Atlanta Braves
Baseball fan and an IU sports fan. He was a member of the Evansville Gun Club.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Hill of Oakland City;
children, Mitchell Hill and Tammy Froelich (Mark) all
of Evansville; step-children, Tanya McCullough (John), Cheryl Barrett (Chris),
Brian Maikranz, Krista Graupner
and Tricia Lewis (Tege); grandson, Jeremy Hill; 9
step-grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; 7 step-great grandchildren; several
nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Misty
Hill-Reising; 2 brothers, Kenneth & Bill Hill; 2
sisters, Wilma Wells and Margie Newman; and a daughter-in-law, Lisa Maikranz.
Funeral service is at 11 a.m. (CST) Monday, November 20,
2017 at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City, officiated by Minister Kristi
Calhoun. Visitation will be from 9 until 11 a.m. Monday at Corn-Colvin Funeral
Home. Graveside service will follow at 3 p.m. Monday at Bivins
Cemetery in Greenville, KY.
