Willard E. “Pill” Hays. 90, of Newburgh, passed away Monday, October 16, 2017 at Newburgh Healthcare Center.

He was born on January 10, 1927 in Princeton, IN to Eddie and Flora (White) Hays.

He lived most of his life in Princeton, IN and also lived in Clarksville, IN and spent some time in Florida. He was a member of the Tower Heights Church of God in Princeton, IN. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He enjoyed the outdoors.

He is survived by his children, Eddie Hays of Newburgh, Michael Hays of Clarksville, IN, Diana Dick (Larry) of Newburgh and Dennis Hays (Vicky) of Henryville, IN; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Wanda Carpenter of Poseyville and Delores Hill of Sugarland, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 70 years, Laura Hays who passed away on April 25, 2017; and 2 brothers and 4 sisters.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, October 20, 2017 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Rev. Fred Denton. Burial will follow at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time on Friday at Colvin Funeral Home. Military Graveside Services by Retired Military Veterans.
