Debra (Welsh) DeSchamp, 68, of Oakland City, Indiana passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at her home in Oakland City, IN.
She was born March 17, 1949 in Vincennes, IN to George and Rosemary (Borders) Welsh, both deceased.
Debbie graduated from Lincoln High School in Vincennes, IN. She then attended Indiana Business College. Later, she worked at Walgreen’s in Vincennes in the photo lab.
She met her husband, David DeSchamp, and they were married April 28, 1973.
She enjoyed taking pictures and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a homemaker, a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.
Debbie is survived by her husband, David DeSchamp of Oakland City; son, Chris DeSchamp (Danai) of Fishers, IN, daughter, Amy Harpenau (Ryan) of Jasper, IN; son, Matthew DeSchamp (Beth) of Jasper, IN; brother, Bill Welsh (Patty) of Bowling Green, KY; and 8 grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. (CST) on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Montgomery Cemetery in Oakland City, with Pastor Joe Collins officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. (CST) on Friday at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City, IN. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery for the graveside services.
