Randy L. Smith, 70, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away on Friday, Sept. 22, 2017 at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton, IN.
Randy was born to the late Gerald Lee Smith and Margie (Barrett) Smith-Mullen on April 23, 1947 in Gibson County, IN.
Randy was an avid hunter and fisherman, a local business man, most noted for the gun shop, Randy’s Sporting Goods, as well as Randy’s Drive-In, a local hangout. He drove a school bus 24 years for South Gibson School Corporation. He was also a member of the Chain Gang for 25 years and coached Fort Branch Little League for 40 years. He was a big fan of NASCAR and never missed a race at the Haubstadt Tri-State Speedway Randy attended the Bethlehem General Baptist Church.
Randy is survived by his wife of 24 years, Rose and Son Ryan both of Fort Branch, Step-daughters, Risma Rubante of Evansville, IN and Ruth Manook of the Philippines. He is also survived by 2 half-sisters, Melody Cohn of LaQuinta, California, and Misty Bittner of Haubstadt, IN. Very close family friends Mike and Kelly Burger and longtime friend Eric Jones.
Services will be on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Stodghill Funeral Home Located in Fort Branch, IN, with Pastor Ron Austin officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch, IN. Visitation will be on Monday, Sept. 25, 2017 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Stodghill Funeral Home.
