Henry Maggard Jr., 80, of Haubstadt, IN, passed away peacefully at his residence, surrounded by his family. 

He was born to the late Henry and Fawn (Reynolds) Maggard on Nov. 3, 1936 in Reynolds Mt., Arkansas.

Henry was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in Vietnam.  He was a member of the Fort Branch VFW Post # 2714 and the American Legion Post # 137 in Huntsville, Arkansas. He was a member of the United Fellowship Church of Christ in Elberfeld, IN.   Henry had worked for 36 years at Bunny Bread and Sunbeam Bread Co and was a member of the Bakery, Confectionary, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers International Union.

Besides his parents, Henry is also preceded in death by his wife, Hattie Cleaetta (Bragg) Maggard, brothers Clifford, Lloyd, Artis, Wendell K. Maggard and Norman Gumm.  His sisters Betty Lou Harrison, Lucille Biffert and Tressa Hunt.

Henry is survived by 4 children, Hank Maggard of Evansville, IN, Brenda Marie (Henry) Trail of Fort Branch, IN, Brian J. (Rae) Maggard of Evansville, IN, and Sandra Lucille (Anthony) Hicks of Fort Branch, IN.  He is also survived by 4 sisters, Mildred Cornelison of Wesley, AR, Louise Spears of Huntsville, AR, Ruthie Mae Richardson of Rogers, AR, and JoAnn Christian of West Monroe, AR.  Henry is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Visitation for Henry will be on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Stodghill Funeral Home located in Fort Branch, IN and again on Friday, September 22, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Brashears Funeral Home in Hunstville, AR.  Services will be held on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Brashears Funeral Home in Huntsville, AR officiated by Pastor Bryan Parsley with burial to follow at Venus Cemetery.
