Norma Jean Boyle 78, of Oakland City entered rest on
Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Good Samaritan Home in Oakland City.
She was born November 14, 1938 in Danville, IL to W. Kendrick and Lottie (Reed) Griffin.
She graduated from Reitz High School in 1957.
Norma was an optician for Bausch & Lomb and Ridgeway
Eyecare Center before retiring due to ill health. She served as Chaplin for the Oakland City
Eagles Ladies Auxiliary for many years. She was a former member of TOPS IN 1070 and
IOA.
She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Vesper Boyle
and her parents.
Norma is survived by her children, Shannon (Roger) Conder and Donald (Susie) Boyle both of Oakland City, IN ,
and Nola (Kenny) Brinkley and Ellie (Roger) Hopkins both of North Port, FL.
Grandchildren Roger, Amanda, Sheryl, Valerie, Jessica, Joshua, TJ, Jennifer,
Andy, Melanie, Jamie and 22 great grandchildren, sister Carolyn (Jim) Evans of
Evansville, IN and niece Joanie DeVillez. Special
thank you to mom’s extended Boyle family and her best friends Lana Sue Elder
and Ruthie Wirth all of whom she loved dearly.
Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday Sept. 27,2017 at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton. Rev. Alec Hensley will be officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00P.M. Tuesday at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel. Family and friends will gather at Chapel on Wednesday and proceed to cemetery.
