Marilyn R. Yeryar, 88, of Princeton, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2017 at her home.
She was born February 28, 1929 in Terre Haute, IN to Leverett and Ruth (Reed) Aarnink, both deceased.
She was a homemaker and had been a teacher in the East Gibson School Corporation. She taught science, health and physical education. She was a volleyball, basketball and track coach. She later worked with Title One students at St. Joseph Grade School. She was a member of the Broadway Christian Church in Princeton and had also been a member of the Green Thumb Garden Club, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Home Economics Club, Coterie Club and the Princeton Country Club.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Kenneth Yeryar of Princeton; 3 children, Janet Perry of St. Louis, MO, Douglas Yeryar (Linda) of Princeton and Kimberly Blaize (Terry) of Hazelton; 3 grandchildren, Megan Yeryar, Melissa Yeryar and Kenneth Blaize; and a brother, John Aarnink of North Carolina
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 7, 2017 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Rev. John Dunn. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Monday at Colvin Funeral Home.
