James “Jim” Ferrel McCormick 65 of Princeton, IN passed into his heavenly home on Friday, August 4, 2017 at the Deaconess Gateway Hospital located in Newburgh, IN.
Jim was born on Saturday, May 31, 1952 in Yankeetown, IN to Robert and Helen (Lott) McCormick, both of whom precede.
He was a longtime area resident and a member of the
Tabernacle Church of Princeton. Jim is a Vietnam serving in the U.S. Army 82nd
Airborne division until December of 1973. He was a long haul over the road
truck driver working for K&C Trucking Company.
On Monday, March 9, 2009, in Henderson County, KY where he took Verda “Beverly” Williams to be his bride.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly McCormick of Princeton, sons; Michael
McCormick of OK, Brian (Melissa) Bennett of Henderson, KY and Derek (Kaci)
Bennett of Elgin, OK. Other survivors include daughter Nancy Williams of
Princeton, IN and sisters; Shelda (Jim) Schmitt of
Tell City, IN, Joyce Ann Witte of Momence, IL, Berty
(Jim) Griggs of Momence, IL and Carol Jo (Randy) Harrison also of Momence, IL.
Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Andy
and 1 great grandchild.
The family has entrusted Doyle Funeral Home of Princeton
with arrangements.
Funeral services will be at 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Doyle
Funeral Home located at 520 S. Main St. in Princeton, IN with the retired
veteran group performing military honors to begin the services. Rev. Randy
Duncan will be officiating the services.
Visitation will be on Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 2:00 P.M. until time of service at 6:00 P.M. with cremation to follow.
