Janice L. Kiesel age 68, died at her home in Fort Branch, Indiana Thursday, August, 17.
She was born Oct. 21, 1948 in Princeton, Indiana. Her parents were Jean and Earl Atkinson of Princeton.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years Charles Kiesel and a sister, Debbie Miller, of Mt. Carmel, IL; nieces Kim Martin, Kelly Harris and Kerri Fleming loved their aunt Janny with all their hearts. Their hearts were filled with her love and encouragement.
Janice was a graduate of Princeton High School class of 1966, and a graduate of the University of Evansville with a major in biology and minor in chemistry. She taught at Memorial High School in Evansville, IN for several years and had been a real estate broker associate with Georgia Board Real Estate, Princeton, IN. She had a passion for skydiving, baking pies, and creating beautiful tropical gardens. Janice was a public speaker presenting PowerPoint programs on topics ranging from hummingbirds to criminal justice, a case study program which she presented at Oakland City University. She published two children’s books and a book containing a collection of hummingbird photos. Janice had a childlike appreciation and enjoyment of nature, all the beautiful plants and animals and brought with her to adulthood a childlike enthusiasm for life, filled with wonder, excitement, enjoyment and appreciation for all that is beautiful in creation. Janice and her husband Charlie enjoyed a wonderful lifetime dance together filled with the beautiful music of their life experiences.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday August 23, 2017 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Fr. Tony Ernst celebrant. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Wednesday at Colvin Funeral Home. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday, August 28, 2017 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in Haubstadt, IN.
