Gerald “Jerry” Deal, 81, passed away Monday, August 7, 2017 at Deaconess Main Campus in Evansville, Indiana.

He was born to the late Nobel James Deal and Neva (McDaniel) Deal on March 31, 1936 in Owensville.

Jerry graduated from Owensville High School in 1954. After graduating, Jerry went on to the Army where he served his country for 2 years. When Jerry returned home, he attended Vincennes University for 2 years. He retired as a laborer from Whirlpool after 39.5 years. He was a member of the American Legion, the Lions Club, and the VFW. He enjoyed playing cards and having his produce stand here in town.

Jerry is survived by wife of 36 years, Sharon; 2 sons, Joe (Tonya) Deal and Mark (Vonda) Deal; 3 grandchildren, Jessica (Ken) Lawson, Darren Deal, and Miranda (Jordan) Mason.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ronald Eugene Deal.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 11, 2017 at 10 am at Holders with Kevin Miley officiating. Burial will follow in Owensville Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Holders.
