Lois Ann “Mamaw” Bishop, 92, of Princeton, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Good Samaritan Home in Oakland City, IN.

She was born September 9, 1924 in Princeton to John and Edna (Finney) Bishop.

She had lived in Princeton most of her life. She was a graduate of Princeton High School and had been employed at Potter and Brumfield as a clerk typist until her retirement in 1982. She was an avid bowler and a member of the Princeton Women Bowling Association, a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Church of God. She was also an avid Princeton Tiger sports fan attending many events, and especially enjoyed watching her granddaughter in softball and cheerleading. She also enjoyed I.U. basketball and was a St. Louis Cardinal and Cincinnati Reds baseball fan. She loved the Game Show network, playing bingo, and was absolutely a great cook.

She is survived by her daughter, Terri Myers (Mark) of Princeton; granddaughter, Leanna Jo Myers of Jeffersonville, IN and a brother, J.R. Bishop (Janet) of Naperville, IL.

She was preceded in death by parents; husband, James Stanley “Stan” Bishop in 1996; a daughter Jerri Jo Bishop in 1977; brothers and sister, John Ed, Jack, James “Pete”, Jerry, Joe Earl Bishop and Madge Decker.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Skip Farmer officiating.Burial will be in the Warnock Cemetery, Princeton, IN. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. Monday at Colvin Funeral Home.
