Kenneth Wayne Robinson
beloved brother and son, 71, passed away on July 7, 2017 at the Linda E. White
Hospice House.
He was born to the late
Charles Emory Robinson and Iva Josephine (Crabtree) Robinson on December 18,
1945 in Owensville.
Kenny graduated from
Owensville High School in 1963. After graduating, he was one of five brothers
who enlisted into the service where he served from 1964 until 1967. Kenny left
home a boy and came back a broken man. He was a Vietnam veteran. He was then a
self-employed carpenter for forty years. He would not hurt a fly or animal, and
if he caught a fly in the house, he released it back outside. He was quiet,
respectable, and kind. For years, Kenny’s sister would have people come up to
her, asking her if he could come repair or fix something for them since he was
such a good carpenter. He loved his “little people,” which is what he called
all of his nieces and nephews. He will be missed dearly by his siblings.
He is survived by 3 sisters,
Sharon (Danny) Koenig and Dorothy (Karl) Weber, both of Princeton, and Janet
Robbins of Birds Eye, IN; 2 brothers, Thomas Ray Robinson and Stephen Robinson,
both of Owensville; 1 sister-in-law, Mary Robinson.
He is preceded in death by 1
sister, Jackie Josephine Woods; 2 brothers, James E. Robinson and Charles
Gordon Robinson; 1 brother-in-law, David Woods; 1 niece, Jessica Robinson.
Funeral services will be
held on Tuesday July 11, 2017 at 11 am at Holders Funeral Home with Rev. Ron
Austin officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery with a full
military service. After the burial, there will be a meal at the Bethlehem
General Baptist Church in Fort Branch. Visitation will be held at Holders from
10 am until service time.
