Rev. Pat McCandless, 74, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville.

He was born February 24, 1943 in Hosmer, Indiana to the late Joseph McCandless and Viola (Orander) McCandless.

He was in church ministry for the past 40 years and nursing home ministry for the past 30 years and also formerly worked at the Francisco School. He was a member of Glezen Revival Center and Road Riders for Jesus.

Pat is survived by his wife, Freida (Cooper) McCandless; 4 children, Patsy Denny (M. J.) of Oakland City, Shelley Manion (Jack) of Evansville, Ruthie Robling of Oakland City and Steve Joles (Lacey) of Wisconsin; grandchildren, Patrick and Nicholas Denny, Blake, Lloyd, Zach, Tyler and Gabrielle Robling, Issac, Jude, Mariah, Ollie and Debra Joles, and Amber Manion; a great grandson, C. J. Pflug; a sister, Beulah Cooper of Oakland City.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. CDT Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City. Burial will follow at Davis Cemetery in Pike County. Visitation will be from 5 until 9 p.m. CDT on Friday and again from 8 a.m. CDT until the hour of service on Saturday at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home.
