Dorothy Louise (Sizemore) Doerner, 89, of Princeton, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017 at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton.
She was born September 28, 1927 in Hopkins County, Kentucky to William and Jessie (Day) Sizemore.
She has worked at Hansen’s and for North Gibson School Corporation. She attended the First General Baptist Church in Princeton. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her 3 children, Linda Fisher of Evansville, Larry (Linda) Doerner of Ft. Branch and Kevin (Lori) Doerner of Washington; 4 grandchildren, Scott (Charity) Fisher, Todd Fisher, Brian Doerner and Angela (Mike) Hill; and 5 great grandchildren, Hannah Fisher, Hadley and Alex Fisher, Jalen Doerner and Syndey Hill.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Virgil Doerner in 1993; brothers, Ray, Curtis, Stanley, Marvin, Morris, Hazel and Gobel Sizemore; sisters, Ruby Mason, Agnes Johnson Pierce; and a son-in-law, Gary Fisher in 2005.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. (CDT) Friday, August 4, 2017 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Rev. Monty Mahoney officiating. Burial will be in the Townsley Cemetery in Mackey, IN. Visitation will be from 3 until 7 p.m. (CDT) Thursday at Colvin Funeral Home.
