Virginia Catherine Wilzbacher, 85 passed away on June 26, 2017 at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville surrounded by her family.

She was born on February 5, 1932 in Haubstadt, the daughter of Emery Joseph and Henritta Anna (Baultman) Koberstein.

She married Joseph L. Wilzbacher in June of 1950 in Haubstadt, IN and he preceded her in death.

Virginia was a member of St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Haubstadt, Daughters of Isabella, and the Alter Society of St. Peter & Paul. She was a homemaker raising 7 sons. She loved to travel with her husband, paint, play Bridge, and spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by six sons, Steve (Linda) of Haubstadt, Dale (Connie) of St. Philips, Larry, David, Kevin (Carol) and Greg (Rita) all of Haubstadt; one daughter-in-law Avonne of Haubstadt; 15 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; siblings, Emery Koberstein of Princeton, Marion (Kay) Koberstein of Princeton, Thema Seib of Princeton, Lila Simon of Haubstadt, Edith Baehl of Haubstadt, JoAnn Heyer of Ft. Lauderdale FL, and Norma (Len) Curer of Littleton CO.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sons, Leonard Wilzbacher and Kerry Wilzbacher; siblings, Elmer, Alvin, Merle, Sr. Elizabeth Ann, Linus Koberstein and Alberta Elpers. Funeral services will be held on Monday July 3, 2017 at 10 am at St. Peter & Paul with Father Tony Ernst & Father Ambrose officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter & Paul Cemetery. A rosary will be held at 1:30 pm Sunday July 2, 2017 at Holders Funeral Home. A visitation will follow at 2 until 6 pm.
