Dianna J. DeBord, 79 of Princeton passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017
at the St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville.
She was born Sept. 7, 1937
in Princeton to Paul and Carroll (Dudley) Fortner.
Dianna and her husband owned
and operated a greenhouse in Mooreland, IN for 30 years. They retired and moved
back to Princeton and she was working at Walmart in Princeton. She attended the
Patoka United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Gingham Gals Home Ec.
Club in Mooreland for 30 years. She was a Charter Member of the first ever
female Lions Club which was in Mooreland, a former Gray Lady at Baldwin Heights
School. She enjoyed crafting, reading, playing cards, games and spending time
with her family.
She is survived by 4
children, Debra Lough (Tony) of Mooreland, Tamara Whittle (Vince) of Lafayette,
twins, Larae Garrity (Dave) and Ray DeBord II (Tracey) both of Lafayette; 2 sisters, Shelley
Martin of Princeton and Paula Epperson (David) of Haubstadt; 2 brothers,
William Fortner (Kumi) of Hawaii and Robin Fortner
(Joan) of Princeton; 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by
her parents, Paul Fortner and Carroll Fortner Morrison; her husband, Raymond
Junior DeBord I in 2013.
Funeral services will be 3
p.m. Friday, June 30 2017 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor
Jeff Penny and Robin Fortner officiating. Private burial will follow the
services. Visitation will be from 1 until 3 p.m. on Friday at the Colvin
Funeral Home.
