Ruby M. Thompson, 79, of Princeton, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton.

She was born July 16, 1937 in Princeton, IN.

She worked at Orion Electric for several years. She was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. She loved her horses, dogs and her four-wheeler.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Clifton Thompson of Princeton; 3 children, Janice Nix (Berne) of Germany, Larry Barber (Trina) of Evansville and Jean Perry of Princeton; 7 grandchildren, Christian Nix, Melissa Glode, Daniel Nix, Zachary Barber, Hannah Barber, Stacey Lloyd and Stephanie Jenkins; and several great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Chet Holderbaugh and Ruby Holderbaugh Osborne; brother, Merle Thompson; 3 sisters, Jean Truelock, Pat Field and Joyce Maier; and a step son, Rick Thompson. Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Pastor Kevin Wilson. Burial will follow in the Walnut Hill Cemetery in Ft. Branch. Visitation will be from 12 noon until service time on Sunday at the Colvin Funeral Home.
