Patricia Ann Smith, 82, passed away May 5, 2017 while living at Solarbron Pointe.

She was born March 21, 1935 in Princeton, IN to the late Alonzo DeWeese and Lena Mae (Stevens) Walker.

She was the second of seven children. Patricia was a hairdresser in Princeton for many years working at Cut and Curl and Holiday Inn salons. She later earned a bachelor’s degree in human resources from Oakland City University. She worked at Ivy Tech Community College in the financial aid department.

She was married to Carl Thomas Smith for 35 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Dennis) Wathen; grandchildren, Brian and Amy Francis, all of Evansville; siblings, Linda Hartman and Connie (Larry) Singleton, both of Kennesaw, GA, Verna Schlamp of Belleville, IL and Alan Douglas DeWeese of Princeton; nieces and nephews.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Donald; sister, Mary. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Columbia White Church Cemetery near Princeton with Rev. Dennis Wathen officiating. Holders Funeral Home in Owensville is assisting the family with the arrangements.
