Marilyn Sue Sinnett passed away at St Vincent Hospital in Evansville on Tuesday, May 2nd, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born August 5, 1941 in Winslow, Indiana to Glen and
Glennis Jones and was a graduate of Winslow high school class of 1960.
She worked at various times outside the home over the years but was always a
meticulous homemaker and devoted wife and mother. She attended Good Shepherd
United Methodist Church in Oakland City for many years and more recently
attended Harwood Baptist Church in Evansville. She enjoyed spending time
with her family, gardening, sewing, playing games and reading, especially the
Bible. She was a lifelong learner and was always ready to take on new
challenges, including learning to use and repair computers in recent years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Connie Wilson.
She is survived by her husband James Sinnett
and former husband Robert Hightower of Oakland City; siblings Patty Williams,
Sandra (Frank “Bud") Bennington, Lloyd (Karen) Jones all of Oakland City
and Toni (Greg) Allison of Washington, IN; children Linda Rosche
of Evansville, Jennifer Hendricks of Oakland City, Charlie Hightower of Shoals
and Elizabeth ( Keith) Kabrick of Springfield, IL,
seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Services will be Monday May 8,2017 10:00 A.M. at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel, with burial in Montgomery Cemetery. Rev Lloyd Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 P.M. Sunday and from 8:00 A.M. until services on Monday at the chapel.
