Carole J. Michalski, 76, of Princeton, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton.

She was born October 9, 1940 in Hammond, IN to Raymond Oliver and Pauline Maude (Christy) Wampler.

She lived in Lake County, IN for 74 years, moving to Princeton in February of 2016. She was a ticket agent for Tri-State Bus Company. She was also involved in the Maywood Civic Club in Hammond, IN for many years.

She is survived by 4 children, Cindy (Rev. Samuel) Polito, Connie (Richard) Kolish, Carolyn (Kevin) Owens and Michael (Linda) Michalski; 8 grandchildren, Matthew Pearson, Adam, Thomas & Janessa Kolish, Angela VanOppens, William-David Owens and William & Melinda Michalski; 10 great grandchildren, Autumn, Abigail & Hunter Kolish, Brooke & Grace Kolish-Maurer, Julian Costello, Zoya & Joseph VanOppens and Ariannah & Elijah Owens; and a brother-in-law, Gene (Judy) Michalski.

Carole is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard Michalski; and a great granddaughter, Savannah Owens.

The family will have a Memorial Services at 3 PM on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the Hazleton United Methodist Church. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be from 2 until 3 pm on Saturday at the church. Colvin Funeral Home is assisting the family. Thank you to River Oaks Health Campus for your excellent care.
