Ann M. Akins, 82, passed away at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton, IN on May 10, 2017.

She was born to the late Leonard and Violet (Rollins) Anderson in Rockford, IL on April 4, 1935.

Ann was a member of the Vertical Church in Fort Branch, IN.

Besides her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years Donald Akins, brothers Jerry Anderson and Elvis Anderson, and sister Sue Wallin.

She is survived by her four children Cyndee (Herman) Garberecht of Gilberts, IL, Jeff (Charlotte) Akins of Crane, MO, Teresa (Tom) Kaul of Wauwatosa, WI, Steve (Janet) Akins of Fort Branch, IN, sister Helene (Jim) Parker of Rockford, IL, twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Services for Ann will be at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, IN on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 10:00 AM officiated by Pastor Tom Kaul. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Stodghill Funeral Home. She will be buried by her husband in Rockford, IL on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Scandinavian Cemetery with Olson Funeral Home in charge of services in Rockford, IL.
