Deanna (Callis)
Sutter, 71, passed away Sunday April 2, 2017 in Evansville at Deaconess VNA Charlier Hospice Center.
She was born Nov 14, 1945 in
Princeton daughter of Lawrence and Margaret Callis.
She graduated from
Owensville High School class of 1963. Deanna attended Vincennes University and
worked for ReMax Real Estate and Oakland City
University.
She married Jim Sutter Feb.
21, 1978 and raised 3 children.
She loved working in the
church having taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. She was a member of
the First General Baptist Church and attended Bethel Memorial. Her other
interests included reading, painting, and the Red Hat Ladies. Deanna so enjoyed
her monthly outing with her classmates for lunch. She loved family get togethers and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her
husband of 39 years; sons, Trent (Amy) Krieg of Evansville and Aaron (Kelly)
Sutter of Fishers, mother, Margaret (Dick) Mason of Princeton; sister, Chea (Greg) Burton also of Princeton; grandchildren, Grant
(Emma) Krieg, Dacia and Hayley Krieg, and Braxton Sutter; two
great-grandchildren, Emily Krieg and Calvin Middleton; several nieces and
nephews.
She was preceded in death by
her father in 1998, son, Jeffrey Krieg in 2013 and infant daughter Rhea in
1965.
Service will be Friday April
7, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Holders Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Wilson
officiating. Burial in the Owensville Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday
from 4-8 p.m. and again Friday from 1:00 p.m. until service.
