David Lee Trowbridge, 70, passed away Wednesday March 8, 2017 at his residence with his family by his side.
He was born Nov. 17, 1946 in Vincennes the son of Russell L. and Mildred (Cassell) Trowbridge.
David was a graduate of North Knox High School class of 1964 member of the Indiana National Guard. He was a member of Blythe Chapel. He was employed at PSI Edwardsport transferring to Gibson Power Station as maintenance mechanic for 29 years before he retired in 2003. He received numerous certificates of the trade while working. He was Union Steward IBEW 1393 for most of his years there. Some of David’s most memorable hobbies were Mushroom hunting and hunting in general with James. Loved his grandchildren and enjoyed camping and riding his motorcycle.
He is survived by his wife Kathy (Murphy) of 47 years. They were married July 19, 1969 in Bicknell, IN; daughters, Lesa (Brian)Prater, Shannon (James) Booker; grandchildren, Logan Prater, Beau Dilbeck and O’Ryan Prater; Aunt, Dessie Sanders; sister-in-laws, Becky Walsh, Janice (Dan) Steiner, Deeann Kilburn, Jennifer Thais; brother-in-law, Gary (Kathy) Murphy; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, James; brother, Russell Kenneth Trowbridge; in-laws, Linda O’Hara, Galen Walsh and Dave Thais.
Services will be Tuesday, March 14, at 10:00 a.m. at Holders Funeral Home with John Baylor officiating. Burial will be in the Owensville Cemetery with full military rites conducted by the retired military. Visitation will be Monday March 13, from 4-8 p.m.
