Thomas "Tom" Wayne Market, 56, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at his home.

Tom was born in Evansville, Indiana on March 24, 1960 to the late Oscar and Eloise (Groeninger) Market.

He graduated from North High School in 1978 and was the owner and operator of MJM Construction. Tom was a proud Shriner where he was a member of the Oriental Band. He loved being around people, especially when he played Santa Claus.

Tom is survived by his wife of 38 years, Vicki (Barton) Market of Evansville, IN; son, Mike Market (Laura); sisters, Theresa Hill, Sharon Rexing (Donald), Diann Calvert (Keith), Janit Market; brother, Don Market (Renee); brothers-in-law, Ken Barton (Debbie), Bret Barton; sister-in-law, Diane Barton; mother-in-law, Pat Barton; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews; and by his loving dogs, Georgi and Elli.

Tom was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Market; his parents; father-in-law, Dan Barton; brother-in-law, Wayne Barton; and by his niece, Stephanie Market.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 5301 Daylight Dr., Evansville, IN 47725 with Father Chris Forler officiating. Burial will follow at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church Cemetery in Haubstadt, IN.

Friends may visit from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 where there will be a Shriner's walk through at 7:00 PM. Friends may also visit from 10:00 AM until service time at the church on Thursday.
