Rosalee (Page) Kruse, 96, formerly of Princeton, IN, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on March 25, 2017, just shy of her 97th birthday, at the Bickford House in Springfield, IL.
Rosalee was born on March 29, 1920, to Ross and Lora (Dunning) Page in Francisco, IN.
She married Norman Kruse at her parents' home on February 23, 1945, and the two were happily married for 55 years until he passed away in 2000.
She graduated from Francisco High School in 1938 and Devry's Beauty College in 1939. She was a hairdresser for 56 years, maintaining her own business for most of that time, and a member of St. Lucas United Church of Christ in Fort Branch, IN for nearly 70 years.
Rosalee is survived by her devoted daughter, Linda (Joe) Stewart of Sherman, IL; granddaughter Amy (Jim) O'Donnell of Winnetka, IL; granddaughter Mandy (Ryan) Livesay o f O'Fallon, MO; cherished great-grandchildren Anna, William, Emma, Addison, and Chase; as well as many other dear relatives, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Norman Kruse, and her brother Leonard (Red) Page.
Rosalee enjoyed spending time with her family, quilting, cooking, travelling, shopping, and collecting antiques. She had a lively sense of humor and a memorable laugh.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Monday, March 27, 2017 at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, IN. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Lucas in Fort Branch, IN, with a luncheon following provided by the women's guild of the church.
