Anna Marie (Curtice) McDonald, 84, of Princeton, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at The Waters in Princeton.
She was born February 27, 1932 to Marguerite Anna (Young) Curtice and Marion Dudley Curtice in Princeton, IN who preceded her in death.
Anna Marie graduated from Princeton High School in May of 1950. In June of 1950, she married her lifelong sweetheart, Robert LeDane McDonald, at the Broadway Christian Church in Princeton.
For 10 years, Anna Marie enjoyed being an Avon representative. She was an avid artist and loved being creative. As an adult, she went back to school at Ivy Tech and received her Associates Degree in Interior Design and worked as a freelance interior designer. She was also passionate about cooking for her family and flower gardening. She was a member of the Gibson County Master Gardner’s Club. Anna Marie was a lifelong member of the Broadway Christian Church and loved her church family immensely. She cherished every moment she spent with her family (as everyone’s “Memaw”), especially the times spent with her great-granddaughter, Megan Marie, who was the light of her life.
Anna Marie is survived by her husband of 66 years, Robert McDonald; daughter, Sharon Marie McDonald Goodson of Princeton; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Brandy and Daniel Rains of Knoxville, TN; great-granddaughter Megan Marie Rains of Knoxville, TN.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Colvin Funeral Home with the Rev. John Dunn officiating. Burial will follow in the Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be held from 5 until 9 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2017 and from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Saturday.
