Loretta Mae Lagneau, 92, of Princeton, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton.
She was born January 1, 1925 in Bicknell, IN to John and Cora Anna (Winegar) Privett. She was the last surviving child of their 11 children.
She married Edward Felix August Lagneau on July 5, 1941.
She worked at Gibson General Hospital as a nurse’s aide in the 1970’s and early 1980’s. She enjoyed gardening and canning her own produce. She and her husband liked to bowl.
She is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in law, Johnny (Sandy) Lagneau of Columbus, IN and Bruce (Terri) Lagneau of Princeton; 2 daughters, Patricia Smith of Princeton and Shavona Neville of Clarksville, TN; one son-in-law, Tom Neville of Clarksville, TN; 11 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great grandchildren along with various step-grandchildren and grandchildren of the heart; one sister-in-law, Rosa Privett of KY; 2 brothers-in-law, Mike Redfern of Vincennes and Tom Lagneau of Princeton.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edward of 71 years; a son, Eddie Lagneau; her parents; 10 brothers and sisters; brother-in-law Ralph McGlone; 3 sisters-in-law, Jeanne “Jane” Redfern, Bertha Lagneau and Mary McGlone. .
Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 PM Friday, February 24, 2017 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Father Brian Emmick officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery in Ft. Branch, IN. Visitation will be from 12:30 until the time of service Friday at the Colvin Funeral Home.
