Mary M. Sloan, 88 of Princeton passed away Friday, December 23, 2016 at the Gibson General Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility. 

She was born in Princeton May 20, 1928 in Princeton to Edward Alfred and Ora Ann (Howell) Stevens

She had lived in Princeton all of her life and had attended the Princeton Holiness Church and was a member of the VFW Ladies Aux.

She is survived by a sister-in-law; Ruth Stevens of Princeton; nephews and cousins; and caregiver, Jodi Meyer of Princeton.

She was preceded in death by parents; husband, John J. Sloan; brothers, Osborne Elwood and Billy Gene Stevens; sisters, Wanda Lee and Betty Jane Stevens; and an infant son John Alfred Slone.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Rev. Larry Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in the Columbia “White” Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 until 2 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
