Mark A. Schaefer, 57, of Haubstadt, IN passed away at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN on December 10, 2016.

He was born to Marcellus and Marie (Fleck) Schaefer on February 18, 1959 in Evansville, IN.

Mark attended St. James Catholic Church in Haubstadt, IN. He was the Plant Manager of Wilbert Vault Company in Fort Branch, IN for over 35 years.

He is preceded in death by his father Marcellus Schaefer and a sister Diane Schaefer in 2002.

He is survived by his loving wife Charlotte (Linder) Schaefer of Haubstadt, IN, Mother Marie Schaefer-Friedman of Fort Branch, IN, children Brett Schaefer of Evansville, IN, Carrie Englehardt of Evansville, IN, stepchildren Billy Hibbs of Darby, IN, Crystal Cranor of Crofton, KY, Melissa Brown of Princeton, IN, brothers Michael Schaefer of Sheridan, IN, Edwin Schaefer of Darmstadt, IN, Keith Schaefer of Bruceville, IN, sister Elaine Happe of Evansville, IN, 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at St. James Catholic Church in Haubstadt, IN at 10:00 AM. Fathers Kenneth Betz, Tony Ernst, and Biju Thomas will be co-celebrants. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, IN and again on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at St. James Catholic Church from 9:00 AM until service time.

Burial will be at Stokes Chapel Cemetery in Crossville, IL at 2:00 PM.
