Rev. Andrew Lee Paris Sr., 79, of Princeton, passed away
Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at his home in Princeton.
He was born April 10, 1937 in Campbellsville, KY to the late
Theodore and Catherine (Barnett) Paris.
He had resided in Princeton for the past 40 years and moved here
from Patoka. He was the pastor of Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church in
Princeton for the past 44 years and also was retired from the Whirlpool
Corporation in Evansville where he worked for 37 years. He was a past president
of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist State Convention. Andrew served his country in
the U. S. Army.
Andrew
is survived by his wife of 57 years, Annie Bell (Burns) Paris to whom he was
married August 23, 1959; 3 sons, Andrew Lee Paris Jr. (Annette) of Princeton,
Rodney Paris (Sarah) of Wabash, IN and Brian Edward Paris (Tina) of Poseyville; 1 special son, Jim Jaquemai
of Princeton; 12 grandchildren, Michael, Andrea, Aleesha,
Logan, Mariah, Emelia, Rylee, Brian Jr., Maurquise,
Tyson, David and Bryan Paris; 5 great grandchildren, Lucas Paris, Anna
Wheeler, Celeste & Malichi Weiss and London
Paris; 4 sisters, Mary Armstrong of Springfield, OH, Sally Hopson of Dayton,
OH, Elizabeth Paris of Cleveland, OH and Rozenna
Paris of Springfield, OH; 3 brothers, David, Jerry and Ray Paris all of
Springfield, OH; also a host of nieces, nephews, friends and his church family.
Preceding
him in death were his parents and 3 brothers, Theodore Jr., Jake, and Robert
Sr. Paris.
Funeral
services will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, January 1, 2017 at Olive Branch
Missionary Baptist Church, 712 East Broadway, Princeton, IN 47670, with Rev.
Willie Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery near Lyles
Station, west of Princeton. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. Saturday,
December 31, 2016 at the church, followed by a memorial service from 7-8 p.m.
Retired Military Veterans will provide full military rites. Colvin Funeral Home
in Princeton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
