Scott “Scooter” Minnette, 54, of Evansville went home to Jesus on Sunday, December 11, 2016 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Scott was born New Years Eve, 1961 in Princeton, Indiana and was raised in Haubstadt. He was a 1980 graduate of Gibson Southern High School. Scott received his Bachelor’s in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Purdue University and obtained his Law Degree from Valparaiso University. He spent most of his career in sales. The two most important things to him were his faith in Jesus and his children. He loved to take his kids to St. Louis Cardinals games, worship both in private and at church, travel, and cheer on Purdue. He never met a stranger and was always searching for a laugh. He was a loving father, caring friend, and obedient servant of Jesus Christ.
He is survived by children, Nichole Winstead (Erik), Hannah Robitaille (Alex), Rebekah Minnette, Leah Minnette, and Jacob Minnette; mother of his children, Ronda Minnette; siblings, Robert Minnette, Deborah Humpert (Ronald), David Minnette, Timothy Minnette (Rhonda), Cynthia McClanahan (Randal), and Gregory Minnette; grandchildren, Suzanna and Caroline Fritts; and many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Minnette in August 1984 and Carolyn Minnette-Mingay in April 2016.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 pm, Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel-A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Ave., Evansville with Pastor Todd Bussey officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery, Haubstadt, IN.
Friends may visit from 10 am until time of service at 1:30 pm, Thursday at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel-A Family Tradition Funeral Home.
