Genevieve Hurst, 95, of
Princeton, IN passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at Deaconess VNA Charlier Hospice in Evansville, IN.
She was born February 8,
1921 in Owensville, IN to Stephen and Minnie (Reeves) Schmittler,
and had lived in Princeton since 1938.
She was a member of the
United Presbyterian Church. Genevieve was very active in the Salvation Army,
and enjoyed painting pictures.
She is survived by her 3
children, Phyllis (Jim) McNeeley of Princeton, Dennis
(Patricia) Hurst of Winslow, and Norman (LaNora)
Hurst of Haubstadt; 5 grandchildren, John Hurst, Sean McNeeley,
Brent McNeeley, Mike and Rick Hurst; 7 great
grandchildren, Alec, Kayli, Mike Jr. and Jade Hurst, Leslie, Isahbella, and Dexter McNeeley; 1
great- great grandchild, Naomi Jean Hurst; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were
her parents, her husband Leslie M. Hurst in 2004, 10 brothers and sisters of
whom she was the youngest, and a granddaughter, Kelly Hurst.
Funeral Services will be
held at 10am Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the Colvin Funeral Home in
Princeton with Pastor Rev. Vanlal Hruaia
officiating. Entombment will follow in the Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch,
IN. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 pm on Wednesday at the Colvin Funeral
Home. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 202 South
