James Aaron Holliman, age
74, died December 17, 2016 at Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston, Missouri.
Born April 4, 1942 in
Covington, Tennessee to the late Peter Aaron and Mary Elizabeth (Friedman)
Holliman.
James was a member of First
Baptist Church in Covington, TN, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was
employed as a Grain Merchant for Cargill for over 35 years. In 2001-2002, he
was the top 20 national sales for Cargill Ag Horizons. He was a devoted fan of
the Greenbay Packers, the Atlanta Braves and the
Tennessee Volunteers and was an avid gardener.
On July 4, 1975 at Memphis,
Tennessee he married Barbara (Rogers) Holliman; she survives at the home in
Sikeston. Other survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Joshua &
Michelle Holliman of Jackson, Missouri; one daughter, Teresa Brubeck of Cape
Girardeau, Missouri; one brother, Thomas Holliman of Sikeston, Missouri; and
four grandchildren, Damian Robson, Alexis Robson, Tyler Holliman and Caden Holliman.
In addition to his parents,
he was preceded in death by two sisters, Laurine Holliman and Eloise Embry.
Funeral services will be
held at 2 pm on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton,
with Rev. Annette Hill Briggs officiating. Burial will follow at the Archer
Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 1 pm until service time on
Saturday at the funeral home. Military rites will be provided by Retired
Military Veterans. The pallbearers will be Josh Holliman, Thomas Holliman, Al
Rogers, Brandon Hoosier, Joey Henson and Jason Hammon.
