Charles W. Dewig, age 63 formerly of Haubstadt passed away Friday, December 2, 2016 at his home in Fort Branch.

The eldest of seven children, he was born in Evansville on June 17, 1953 to the late William and Helen (Tiepe) Dewig.

Charles was formerly employed at Dewig Meats. 

He was a musician and enjoyed all types of music especially big band and brass band music. Also preceding him in death was a brother Paul in June 2016.

Charles is survived by his wife Tamara (Long) Dewig of Haubstadt, 1 daughter, Sasha (Levi) Haltom of Terre Haute, 2 sons, Nick and Ben Dewig both of Haubstadt. 3 sisters; Sharon Spindler, Rosemary Weber and Diane Hornby all of Haubstadt. 2 brothers, Kenny of Johnson and Gary of Haubstadt. Nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Friday, December 9 at Wade Funeral Home in Haubstadt. Burial will be 11 AM Tuesday, December 13 in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Haubstadt. Friends may call from 9 AM to 11 AM Friday, December 9 at the funeral home.
