Brenda Kay Winternheimer, 70, of Newburgh, Ind., passed away, Friday, November 25, 2016, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital.  

She was born November 22, 1946, in Evansville, to Charles J. and Marjorie Ellen (Kester) Cox.

Brenda enjoyed gardening, especially her flowers and loved being outdoors.  She loved her children and grandchildren; she was the first to volunteer for girl scouts, sports, and band.  Brenda was all about her family, raising 3 generations.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Joel, and nephew, Kurtis.  

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, William; daughter, Sabrina Wilford; son William “Bill”; grandchildren, Amber, Kaleb, Kendal; great-grandchildren, Autumn, Chance; sister-in-law, Linda; brothers, Rodger Cox (Jane Ann), Charlie Cox (Lynn), Mitchell Cox (Debra), friend, Edith Wilford; and several nieces and nephews. 

A funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at Titzer Family Funeral Home, Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh, Ind., (812) 853-8314.  Burial will follow in Nobles Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m., Monday and 9 a.m. to service time Tuesday.
