Dixie I. Hill, 72 of Oakland City entered rest on Nov. 8, 2016 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville, IN. 

She was born on April 29, 1944 in Gibson County to Clifford and Bessie (McGraven) Byrd.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister, and her husband Larry D. Hill (2014).

She worked at Good Samaritan Nursing Home and Styline. 

She is survived by: Daughter: Mary Jo (Frank) Knight of Princeton 
Sons: Ricky (Eugenea) McRoberts of Hilo, Hawaii, Bubba (Trudy) McRoberts, Steve (Darlene) McRoberts, David (Candeeda Grubb) Hill and Travis (Gabrielle) Parker all of Oakland City, IN.  (24) Grandchildren, (29) Great Grandchildren. 

Services will be Saturday November 12, 2016 at 11:30 A.M. at Lamb Basham Memorial Chapel, with burial in Providence Cemetery, Rev. Lloyd Jones officiating. Visitation will be Friday November 11, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and Saturday from 8:00 until service time.
