Mildred M. Braun, 80, of Princeton, passed away Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh.
She was born Thursday, March 5, 1936, in Somerville, to Floyd and Eva Meier.
Mildred worked 40 years before retiring from Potter & Brumfield in both assembly and shipping/receiving departments.
On Feb. 16, 1957, she married Richard Braun, who preceded her in death Dec. 20, 2010.
Mildred has been a lifelong area resident and attended Oasis Assembly of God Church in Princeton. Mildred has always led an active live and participated in the local garden club and the quilting club. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing cards with her lady friends at the local Dairy Queen.
She is survived by two sons, Kerry (Patti) Braun of Hazleton and Greg (Tanna) Braun of Ridgway, Illinois. She is also survived by brothers, Bob (Genny) Meier of Newburgh and Tom (Beverly) Meier also of Newburgh and sisters Wanda Armstrong of Mt. Olympus, Marge Dyson of Princeton and Julia (Jay) Davidson of Hazleton.
She is also survived by three grandchildren; Andy Braun, Kylena Page, and Kara Braun as well as two step grandchildren, five great grandchildren and three step great grandchildren.
She is preceded by her parents, husband, Richard and son Dennis. She is also preceded by a brother, Richard, and sister, Frances.
Funeral service is at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016 at Doyle Funeral Home located at 520 S. Main St, Princeton, with Pastor Mike Marsh officiating. Internment will take place in Columbia White Church Cemetery of Princeton.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016 from 11 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m.
The family has entrusted Doyle Funeral Home with arrangements.
