Amelia E. Adams, 75 of Princeton, passed away Friday, Nov. 11, 2016 at the Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.
She was born Sept. 27, 1941 in Pike County, to Floyd and Laura (Price) Tharp.
She retired after working at Princeton Industries Corporation. She graduated from Mt. Olympus High School in 1961. She was currently the President of the Mt. Olympus Alumni Association. She enjoyed basket making, quilting, crafting and was an avid reader.
She is survived by a son, Mike (Celia) Tharp of Delphi, IN; 2 grandchildren, Devin and Molly Tharp; 2 sisters, Mary Case of Princeton and Patty (Ed) Craig, Princeton; brother, Donel (Peggy) Tharp of Alta Vista, VA; sister-in-law, Judy Tharp of St. Elmo, IL; 2 brothers-in-law, John Dunning of Princeton and Jesse Hall of Hazleton; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Buford Adams; brother, Dean Tharp; sisters, Joann Dunning and Ruth Hall.
There will be a visitation from 3 until 5 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. There will be no services. Burial will follow at a later date.
