Lance Robert “L.S.” Wright, 29, passed away peacefully at I.U. Health University Hospital on Saturday, October 29, 2016, surrounded by his family.
He was a lifelong resident of Gibson County, a graduate of PCHS and had attended USI on an art scholarship. He was a gifted artist, skilled in all mediums including people (tattoos) as his canvas. Lance loved being with his family and friends, spending time outdoors, going to the movies and listening to music and playing his guitar. He was a unique individual who touched so many with his art, kindness, generosity, tenacity and sense of humor. He may be gone, but will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his parents, Jill Darrah Wright-Cultice (Mark) and Steve Wright (Darlene-his “Om”); godparents, Jerry and Venita Oursler; fiancée, Dawn Sailer (children-Jaxx, Xzavier and Achean); sister, Darrah Gonzalez (Aaron); nephews, Zane and Michael; nieces, Rosa and Julia; step-brother, Damian Chism (Kellie); and a plethora of aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Barney and Mary Alice Darrah (“Pop” and “Granna”) and Robert and Joretta Wright; and his uncle, Bill Darrah.
Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton and continue at 10:30 a.m. at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton, officiated by Mark Richison. Burial will follow the services at the cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Friday at the Colvin Funeral Home.
