Gerald F. Douglas, 86, of Fort Branch, IN passed away at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton, IN. He was born to the late Floyd and Ida (Walters) Douglas on August 22, 1930 in Owensville, IN.
Gerald was a Korean War Veteran having served in the U. S. Army. He later retired from Peerless Pottery.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Flora June Douglas.
He is survived by his children Becky Graves of Francisco, IN, Carol Rice and Debbie Yancey both of Fort Branch, IN, brothers Joe and Kenny Douglas both of Princeton, IN, and David Douglas of Patoka, IN, 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
Services will be on Saturday October 15, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Stodghill Funeral Home on highway 168 in Fort Branch, IN officiated by Pastor Steve Akins. Burial will follow services at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch, IN. Visitation for Gerald will be on Friday October 14, 2016 at Stodghill Funeral Home from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Military Honors services will be at the cemetery prior to burial at Walnut Hill Cemetery and performed by VFW post #2714 and American Legion post #194.
