Elaine (Paul) Stewart, 77, of Owensville, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2016 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

She was born August 26, 1939 in Princeton, IN to Charles Paul and Elsie (Ross) Skelton.

She lived in Owensville for the last 15 years moving from Evansville and formerly Princeton. She was a nurse for 37 years and worked at the Holiday Home in Evansville for several years. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed watching Hallmark Channel, watching hummingbirds and getting together with family.

She is survived by her children, Mark (Sandy) Boling of Patoka, Joanne DeKemper (Tim Nelson) of Princeton, Michele Wilhite (Eric Donnelly) of Princeton and Kristina (Estie) Harper of Owensville; step son, Chris (Jeni) Stewart of Princeton; family member, Dave DeKemper; 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and one on the way; and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Paul; mother, Elsie Skelton; step father, Bruce Skelton; daughter, Dawnell Seay; and 2 grandchildren, David Boling and Timothy Seay.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Rev. Gene Siverly officiating. Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 11 am until 1 pm on Thursday at the Colvin Funeral Home.
