William “Bill” M Shelton, 81, of Princeton, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Gibson General Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit in Princeton.
He was born on June 15, 1935 in Mt. Carmel, IL.
He was a member of the Boilermaker Local 374 for 40 years and served in the US Army and Air Force for 7 years. He was a member of Bethel Memorial Church in Princeton.
He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Betty Shelton of Princeton; 2 daughters, Teresa (Hank) Dersch of Princeton and Cindy (Mitch) Miller of Patoka; grandson, Ryan Joseph (Ashley) Dersch; great-grandson, Grayson Dersch; brother, Robert (Shirley) Allen of Princeton; sister, Barbara Jean Blake of Princeton; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his step-father and mother, Cecil and Nona Allen; and 2 brothers, Carl and Clyde Allen.
Funeral Services will be held at 2pm on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Pastor Kyle Powell. Burial will be at the Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from noon until service time on Sunday at the Colvin Funeral Home.
