Isabel S. “Peg” Hyneman,
95 passed away Friday, Sept. 9, 2016 at her home in Hazleton.
She was born in Hazleton, April 18, 1921, to
Fred and Aurelia (Knight) Steelman.
Peg had lived in Hazleton all of her life. She was retired after
working many years as a teller at the former Gibson County Bank first working
in Hazleton then moving to the Princeton branch. She graduated from Hazleton
High School in 1939 and then attended and graduated from the Indiana Business
College in Indianapolis. She was a member of the Hazleton United Methodist
Church and a member of the Eastern Star.
She married her husband Meredith Hyneman
Nov. 1, 1941. They both were members of the Roadrunners and Trailblazers
camping clubs and together they traveled with their camper to 49 states.
Peg is survived by a son, John (Cheryl) Hyneman
of Hazleton, a daughter, Jane (Fred) Hartzburge of
Vincennes, son-in-law, Jim Beery of Oaktown; 7 grandchildren, Marsha
(Scott) Jones, Meredith (Ted) Miller, Daniel (Sabrina) Beery, Greg (Kristi)
McCrary, Heather (BJ) Dugans, Kacey (Jeremy) Kaufman
and Rachel Hyneman; 14 great-grandchildren, Tyler and
Meghan McCrary, Jacob and Maura Jones, Wyatt Oxley, Amelia Miller, Ben, Gabriel
and William Dugans, Ares Ramos, Eli and Isaac Kaufman
and James and Sophia Beery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Meredith Hyneman, Feb. 26, 2005, daughter, Merry Beery, son, James
Eric Hyneman, 3 sisters and a brother.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday CDT, Sept 13, 2016 at
the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Jim Beery and Rev. Sam Polito officiating. Burial will follow in the
Hazleton Community Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. CDT Monday
at the funeral home.
